Halloween is a time full of treats and good-natured scares! However, the last thing that you want is some real-life scares entering the mix when your dog eats something they should not! Check out this article on how to keep your pup safe from accidental poisoning this Halloween. | |

Some more tips to keep your pet safe:
-Keep all lit candles (such as those in jack-oβ-lanterns) out of reach of pets
-Keep an eye on your dog when you open the door for trick-or-treaters. You donβt want them slipping out by mistake!
-If your dog does get out, make sure that they are wearing a collar with identification and/or that their microchip information is up to date.
-Never leave your pet in a costume while unsupervised

We assume a lifetime responsibility for every puppy we send home. Our Homes for Life program is the result of this commitment and our dedication to preventing pet homelessness.
We understand that for unfortunate and unforeseen reasons sometimes customers who purchase our puppies can no longer care for them. For this reason, our customers agree to relinquish the dog to us, not a shelter.
We do this to ensure that we can find them a new, loving home but first provide them with the rehabilitation and care that they may need in addition to a neuter/spay as part of our commitment to responsible pet ownership.

Benji is still searching for his forever home!! | |
Benji has not had an easy life. While he was dearly loved by his former owner, this owner has been facing financial hardship for some time, and has been experiencing homelessness. Benjiβs owner ultimately made the difficult decision to return Benji to our care so that we could help place him in a more stable home.
Unfortunately, due to these circumstances, Benji has not been exposed to the same situations that many typical dogs have. He had never been to the vet, was undersocialized and distrustful of strangers, and was extremely nervous in new situations. Under careful training at Inertia Canine, Benji has progressed in leaps and bounds! He is much more relaxed and happy and is now seeking his forever home. He would LOVE to be your hiking buddy as the weather cools down, and he is quite the cuddlebug. If you or someone you know would be a good match for him, please reach out to us.

If you are looking for a puppy, be careful & remain vigilant!
Here is how to spot a puppy scam online from AKC:
-
No phone calls. The seller prefers to handle communication by email and not the phone. A reputable breeder will always communicate with you via phone or video chat (if not in person) before selling you a puppy. Fraudulent sellers are oftentimes outside of the U.S. and may be hiding their phone number by only communicating by email.

Copycat or stock photos. Photos of the dog or ad text can be found on multiple websites. Search for the text or reverse image search the photos on Google to find out if they were copied.

Sketchy payment. The seller asks for wiring of money or payment by gift cards. Be aware that if you choose a non-secure method of payment, it is highly unlikely that you will get your money back. Avoid paying a stranger using apps such as Venmo, as it is harder to get your money back if you donβt get what you paid for.

Price is too good to be true. Research the prices for the breed you are considering. Purebred dogs sold at deeply discounted prices are typically frauds. If the seller says they register their dogs with a specific organization, you can call the organization to confirm.
