Aster Assisted Living is partnering with the Clintonville Chamber of Commerce, Clintonville Food Pantry and Tadych's Marketplace Foods to challenge the business community of Clintonville. We are challenging the Community as a whole to help provide Thanksgiving dinners to the roughly 120 families in the Clintonville area in need of a helping hand this holiday season. Fundraising will officially start October 1st until November 11th.
There are couple different ways you can help. Donations of money or Tadych's Market place gift cards, collections of non-perishable food Items from your employees as well as donations of non-perishable food to one of the many drop-off locations around Clintonville. Drop off locations include: Aster Assisted Living, The Clintonville Chamber of Commerce, Tadych Marketplace Foods & Clintonville City Hall. POLICE OFFICER KIZEWSKI PARTICIPATED IN LIONS VISION SCREENING CLINIC
Clintonville Police Officer Kizewski was an early arrival for vision screening by Clintonville Lion Lowell Easley at Saturday's vision screening clinic held at Compassionate Connections in Clintonville.
The vision screening consists of an instant electronic scan of the eyes to determine the presence of six eye disorders. This scan takes approximately one-second. No physical contact is made and no eye drops are used.
The screening with the Spot Vision Screener is for refractive errors (nearsightedness, farsightedness, unequal power), astigmatism (irregular shape of the cornea, or curvature of the lens), amblyopia (lazy eye), strabismus (crossed eyes), and a comparative analysis for unequal refractive power (anisometropia) and unequal pupil size (anisocoria).
It will not detect all eye diseases, focusing problems, or eye health related issues such as Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, or Retinal Detachment.
The information from this vision screening is to be considered a preliminary procedure only, and does not constitute a diagnosis of vision problems. It should only be considered to be a
part of a comprehensive eye-care program that includes periodic exams by an eye care professional.
Of those screened Saturday, one adult and one child was out-of-range for one or more refractive errors for their respective age criteria.

Hi, my name is Judy Johnson. I grew up in Milwaukee but have been in Clintonville for about 50 years.
When I was young, the "Tiny Tears" dolls were very popular, so I began to make the clothes for my doll. The polio epidemic kept my in the house, or back yard with permission, for one whole summer. So I kept myself busy making things.
As time went by, I taught myself to hand embroider, knit, crochet, quilt and tat. My sources of information and inspiration came from the local library, my mother, sisters and friends.
I made my daughter's wedding dress and my granddaughters t-shirt quilts.
During Covid, I spent most of my time sewing and sewing!
I really enjoy being a part of Pigeon River Artists, for the last three years. It is fitting to say "I am a person that has talent in an area that I totally enjoy".
Thank you PRA for all your help and ideas!
