October 2019 Newsletter
A note
from our
CEO...
We are 3/4 th of the way through 2019 and it has been fun! We love what we get to do every day!

On October 24 th, we will be celebrating our 50 th anniversary. To help us celebrate we have been donating $1,000 plus an informational video to 50 different charities and groups that help to support our communities. The videos have allowed each group to explain who they are and what they do.

On September 29 th, we helped to dedicate home #105 for Habitat for Humanity. This was our fifth home to sponsor and to provide labor for. We are very excited for the Curry family and pray for wonderful things in their future.

At the start of the school year, members of the credit union donated school supplies to over 450 teachers in 6 counties.

During the month of October, we will celebrate International Credit Union Day. But for WV Central, one day is not enough for us to adequately say thank you so we are making October - Credit Union Month. During October, we invite all members to benefit from our Memberriffic program. Whether you are looking for a place to deposit money or looking to borrow - this program will reward members for years of credit union account ownership.

Members who have been with us from the beginning will be able to add 2.5% to our current one year certificate rate. These members will have the opportunity to have a twelve month investment that will be over 3.5%. In today’s market this is an amazing rate!

If you are in need of a loan, we will be doing the same calculation and reducing current loan rates by the amount calculated by taking your years of membership times 0.05%. In the case of loans, there will be a floor of 2.0% and mortgages loans are excluded from this program.

Regardless of how many years you have been part of the WV Central family, we want to thank you and to reward you for your loyalty and support. Don’t let October pass without taking action.

2019 has been great so far and our efforts to support our local communities is not done. Your credit union continues to grow and is considered to be strong and viable. We are now working to meet the needs of our 20,250 members!

Thank you again for your support of WV Central. Your participation makes all that we do possible!

All the best,
Mike Tucker
