October Newsletter
Greetings!
Poster for NDEAM Disability is part of the equation
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The contributions made by people with disabilities in the workplace are recognized as vital. The U.S. Department of Labor announced this year's theme as 'Disability: Part of the Equity Equation." Read the press release here.
The Department of Labor has listed ideas for each day of the month found here such as 'Foster Inclusive Internship Programs' like the one we highlight at our October Member meeting between Land O'Lakes and Inclusive Networking. More information and registration can be found below.
Employers can do a lot to change the landscape and foster inclusion in the workplace. The following resources are specifically for Employers to implement during NDEAM and can be utilized on an ongoing basis.
Help us work toward greater inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.
Please check out our Disability Inclusion Calendar with more disability-related dates. Spread the word about other notable happenings in the month of October.
