Hello District K Family,

What an amazing month it’s been so far! October kicked off with one of my favorite annual events, National Night Out, and once again, you did not disappoint. From the 5 Corners District to Brays Oaks and neighborhoods in between, it was such a joy to see residents gathering, laughing, and connecting with one another and our Houston Police Department.

Thank you to every civic club, HOA, and community leader who helped make the night a success. You truly brought the theme to life: Stay Safe. Meet Your Neighbors. Have Fun!

The energy and togetherness we felt that evening remind me of what makes District K so special the people. When neighbors look out for one another, attend community meetings, and get involved, we all benefit. And the results show: crime is down across District K! Those numbers reflect what’s possible when we work together with HPD and stay engaged.

As we move through the fall season, I encourage you to keep that same spirit of connection and care alive. Whether it’s attending a park cleanup, supporting a local school event, or just checking in on a neighbor, every small act makes a big difference.

This month’s newsletter is full of updates, resources, and ways to stay involved from community projects to important city programs. Take a few minutes to browse through and see how you can stay connected.

Thank you for continuing to make District K a place where families thrive, neighbors unite, and community pride runs deep.
