Spanish-Language Databases
This month we're highlighting databases that feature Spanish-language articles and resources.

A trusted source and recognized standard for patient drug information, available in both English and Spanish. AHFS includes more than a thousand drug information monographs written in lay language for consumers.

MedicLatina (EBSCO)
A unique collection of medical research and scientific journals from renowned Latin American and Spanish publishers, subjects covered by MedicaLatina include biomedicine, cancer research, cardiology, clinical pathology and research, hematology, nephrology, neuroscience, and pediatrics.

Provides convenient access to easily understandable health and medical information. Consumers can search and browse medical encyclopedias, popular reference books, and magazine articles. All content is in Spanish.

Fuente Academica is a database of full-text Spanish- and Portuguese-language scholarly journals. Quality titles from Latin America, Portugal, and Spain cover all major subject areas.

How to access: if you're using the RHEC network, via wired connection or wi-fi, you automatically have access. If you would like to use these databases at home, you may create an account by clicking the Sign In link at the top while connected to the RHEC network. Sign in with your account at home to have full access!
This Month's Display:
Latinx & Hispanic Heritage Month
Join us in celebrating Latinx & Hispanic Heritage month, commemorating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens of Spanish, Mexican, Latin Caribbean, Central, and South American descent. Observed from September 15 - October 15, it coincides with the independence days of many Latin American nations, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

To celebrate, this month we will be displaying both literary and non-fiction titles in our collection by authors of Latinx and Hispanic descent.

As the title suggests, Bibliophile is an illustrated love letter to all things bookish. Filled with beautiful and colorful handpainted artwork, it includes thoughtfully curated lists of books, tours of famous bookstores and libraries, author bios, quizzes, and more.
