Watch Skip-a-Long's Birthday Party!

Last week, we celebrated Skip-a-Long's 50th Birthday with a virtual birthday party! Don't worry - if you missed it, you can still watch, just like you were there!

Unfortunately we had some technical difficulties showing an interview with Laurie Walker, Skip-a-Long's First CEO. You can view that video here:

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Birthday celebrations and Day of Giving!
Health & Wellness: Limiting Screen Time
Our children are growing up in a technological world. When used appropriately, technology can be fun and educational, but it is important to set boundaries when it comes to screen time.

No amount of technology can replace physical play and social interactions. Children need time to play outdoors, interact with their peers, and socialize on an individual level. Although technology use has become prevalent recently due to the pandemic, we need to make sure children (and ourselves) have a healthy balance of technology use, so that it doesn't overtake other parts of our lives.

Fall into Nature
The seasons are changing, the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing colors.. fall is in the air.

Fall is great time for outdoor activities, including pumpkin and apple picking, bonfires, and of course - nature walks! So much can be learned on an autumn walk when you take the time to really observe the changes in your environment. Weather, animals, plants, rocks - there are so many things explore!
