After some delays, construction permits have been filed and are pending for the redevelopment of the K House of Flowers site at 5241 N. Milwaukee Ave. Plans call for the demolition of the former flower shop and construction of a wood framed 4-flat. At least seven parking spaces will be located in the rear of the site. 
The Gladstone Park Commercial Corridor Study calls for businesses to be located on the ground floor of new construction on Milwaukee, but the city felt otherwise for this development site.
The guidelines in the study came from the community, and the chamber hopes that the city will encourage future developers to follow study’s recommendations. Here is a link to the study

Gladstone Park Advisory Council hosts Fall Double-Feature Movie in the Gladstone Park. This will be a socially-distanced event that adheres to all Park District COVID guidelines.

Date October 17th, 2020
· Gates open 5:30
· Kick off with a holiday costume parade at 5:45
· Movie 1 (Addams Family animated movie) starts ~6pm
· Movie 2 (Hocus Pocus) starts ~8pm

They will be handing out mini pumpkins and mask kits to decorate.
