A Note From Our Executive Director

Happy Fall! The temps have finally cooled down, mornings are crisp and a new season is in the air. There is a lot going on the Boulevard and The District team is hard at work. This holiday season we are launching a multi-faceted campaign – Holidays on the Boulevard. This includes paid advertising, seasonal events and a unique print and digital catalog that features unique gift ideas to Camp Bowie. We are working on the details surrounding the different elements and have begun to socialize them among our partners. If you are interested in learning more and what to participate, scroll down a little more in the newsletter and click the button to register. Per usual this is an asset available to all members at no additional cost and for a nominal fee to non-members.

This month, the Camp Bowie District board of directors voted to invite three new members to the organization’s governing body. Leon Reed, Dan Custer and Brett Cox will be installed during the October meeting which kicks off the new fiscal year. We are excited to add these new faces to the organization and to grow the board of directors.

Camp Bowie District has reopened its physical offices as of October 1. We are now located at 6706 Camp Bowie Boulevard in the Towne West property. The return of Camp Bowie District to the Boulevard is an exciting one. We are able to host meetings in our own location and welcome guests. Come by and see us when you are in the area.

Homelessness continues to be an issue on the Boulevard. I have received a number of calls and correspondence related to this topic. Please know that we are diligently working on this. Our board as well as I want to maintain a safe and clean area for everyone. Later this month I will follow up with business operators and property owners with recommendations to help remedy this situation. If you have any feedback or information that you want to lend to the situation, please feel free to reach out to me. I am working with the city, city council members and PD to find solutions.

Enjoy the season ahead of us. The holidays are right around the corner. We look forward to this holiday season and the exciting things we have working to benefit all of you.

See you on the Blvd!
