Travel to Brazil
The Executive Director, Miguel Torneire, traveled to Brazil for personal reasons to visit his uncle Geraldo who was diagnosed with cancer and while he was there, he visited Evaldo José, who he worked with in Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi repairing and restoring the Eagles Junior Academy, a school inside the refugee camp.

Miguel as a dedicated Flamengo and soccer fan, easily connects with other fans who love soccer. This is how he met Evaldo José, who is a popular narrator of Radio Tupi from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Eagles Junior Academy
Miguel and Evaldo José are joining efforts again in order to get school supplies to Eagles Junior Academy in Malawi. They are seeking support to buy notebooks, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, scissors, glue, books, etc. Please, consider prayerfully to support this cause.

What else could be done?
Sport is one among many other ways in which human beings can develop and improve themselves in life. Developing Our World supports that sponsoring refugee athletes to achieve this goal. Please consider supporting one or more athletes to go to Lilongwe to participate in the Olympic selective process in order for them to get their marks and represent Malawi in Japan 2021.

Next Steps to Take...
Travel to Malawi
Following the process of Holistic Community Development, the Executive Director is planning to visit Dzaleka Refugee Camp in Malawi next summer in order to seek more opportunities to share with its partners. It will happen in August 2021 and Developing Our World is raising $3,000.00 for this project, so Miguel and Evaldo can go.
