All of our
5th Grade students will be taking both the IOWA Assessments and the CogAT tests in the mornings from
October 15-21. Please have students at school each day and avoid scheduling vacations or appointments during this time. Also please avoid late arrivals and check-outs during our testing window. Although
4th grade will not be testing, we will not be having guests for lunch or visitors during our testing dates, so please plan to join us another time.
BOO Run is Coming!
The Boo Run is coming to Buford Senior Academy! We will kick off our very first Run Raiser at the end of the month. Our goal is to raise $55,000 for playground enhancements. Students will be allowed to run in costume. We ask that you refrain from scary costumes, full masks that obscure vision while running, and leave at home any costume weapons.

Fall Festival is Coming!
Our annual Fall Festival will have games, activities, giant inflatables, face painting, food trucks, prizes and so much family fun. It is one of the highlights of the year and a great event!

Fall Holidays
We have two holidays coming this month to put on your calendar. Friday, October 11th will be a student holiday and Monday, October 14th will be a Fall Holiday. So plan yourselves a fun-filled long weekend and enjoy your time together.
Early Release Day
October 16th is an early release day for our students. This will be a parent & teacher conference day. Dismissal begins at 11:30 am. Please make sure your student knows how they will be getting home.

Parent Input Welcome!
We are always looking for ways to serve you better. Please, contact us if you have suggestions about future parenting classes. We would also love to have parent input on the 2020-2021 Title I Plan, Parent Invlovement Plan, and the Student/Parent/Teacher Compact .
We are partnering this year with the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Strong4Life Program. We are helping to promote heath and wellness to all of our students and their families. We are featuring a tip for students every Wednesday on Wolf TV with our Wednesday Wellness segment. We will also be including a tip for families in our monthly newsletter.
