CITY OF SWEETWATER

Dear residents,

Warm greetings as we step into the delightful month of October, fall season is here! In the preceding month of September, we accomplished a significant milestone by securing budget approval for various transformative projects. It is my priority to enhance the quality of life in Sweetwater. There are some new exciting developments to come. Slowly but surely we are enhancing the appearance of our Mildred & Claude Pepper Senior Center, plus adding new and fun services for our seniors. We are also revamping our parks and recreation areas, and improving the Jorge Mas Canosa Center. My goal is to provide more activities and better facilities for our residents, especially for our youth and seniors. To mitigate the risk of flooding during the hurricane season and heavy rains, the maintenance staff is tirelessly working on keeping our sewage systems in optimal condition. We're dedicated to averting potential disasters and maintaining a secure living environment. I remain dedicated to creating a vibrant and resilient community.

Sincerely,

Mayor Jose "Pepe" Diaz
