A Message From the President

Greetings!

October is such a special month here in Ponte Vedra Beach! While we may not see the brilliant fall leaves of the north, we do enjoy cooler breezes, golden sunsets, and—best of all—the return of many friends who’ve spent the summer away. How wonderful it is to have our circle complete again.

We have a full and exciting calendar ahead, filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and simply enjoy time together. This month brings the return of Bridge, a fascinating Day Trip to MOCA, and a practical CPR Class. For those who enjoy hands-on experiences, we’ll gather for Candle Making followed by lunch out. Adventure seekers can look forward to a Kayaking Eco Tour of the beautiful Guana Reserve, while everyone can raise a glass at our Happy Hour on the Pavilion.

And that’s not all! There’s even more fun in store, so be sure to read the entire newsletter and mark your calendars!

I encourage you to jump in, reconnect with friends, and perhaps try something new. Together, we’ll make this season one to remember.

Warmly,

Cindy Feeley

If you would like to try bridge, this is the place to start.  Chit Chat Bridge for Beginner's is scheduled to begin in October.

You’ll learn to play Mini Bridge--Bridge without the bidding. Once you learn that, we’ll dip into Audrey Grant’s, Play of the Deal (around $20). Instruction is free.

Sharon & Christine found this new book format much easier for beginners to understand. If you've purchased ACBL Play of the Hand, please return it or keep it for your reference library. You will need Play of the Deal for our classes. We hope to continue to enlarge the group in January.
