Have You Heard of Galaxy Gas?

Parents and caregivers, find out about this dangerous trend.

"Galaxy Gas" refers to a brand of nitrous oxide canisters, which are typically sold for culinary purposes. Recently, this product gained popularity on social media, where it has become a trend for young people to inhale nitrous oxide for recreational highs. These canisters are sold in appealing flavors and colorful packaging making them attractive to youth.

This is a dangerous trend since it can lead to serious health issues, including headaches, heart palpitations, and potentially death.

The trend has gained popularity on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, YouTube, and X, where influencers, streamers, and musicians have drawn attention to it. Some videos depict people inhaling the gas in challenges or dares. This has led celebrities like SZA and Lil Gnar to speak out against the dangerous trend, with SZA highlighting the harm it can cause to brain cells.
