Salmon Spawning in the Fraser Valley, British Columbia – A Fun Day for the Family

October and November are the months when salmon – Chinook, coho, sockeye, chum and pink – return from the Pacific Ocean to the rivers and creeks in British Columbia to spawn. This time of year, with summer now a memory, we find ourselves wanting to be outside as much as possible and we’re constantly on the lookout for great spots to throw down our picnic blanket and enjoy our meals al fresco! The evenings may be cooler, and the leaves may be starting to change colour, but we think that first hint of fall foliage makes our picnic spots even more special.
