DEA TakeBack Day 10/26
DEA TakeBack Day
DEA TakeBack day is a great way to get rid of ALL your unused and/or expired prescription and over the counter drugs and at the same time do your part to help address the opioid crisis. According to a 2018 survey on drug use and health, almost 10 million Americans misused prescription drugs. Most of these drugs were obtained from the medicine cabinets of friends and family. The safest and easiest way to get rid of both prescription and over the counter drugs is at a designated drop off site, like those listed below. Additionally, all Meijer pharmacies will take your unused drugs during pharmacy hours; all Ottawa County police departments also have drop off sites.

Something to think about-
DEA TakeBack Day is this Saturday!
We can also help combat the opioid epidemic by making sure we --and our family members--take prescription medications as directed. Actions that are considered prescription misuse include:
1) taking a prescription medication that is not prescribed to YOU;
2) mixing alcohol or illicit drugs with prescription medication
3) using a prescription drug to feel euphoria ie to get high.
