OPEN TO OPPORTUNITIES WITH SCOPE IN OCTOBER! We're rounding out October by acknowledging supporters and partners who have dedicated their volunteerism and philanthropic efforts to support SCOPE, ultimately demonstrating that together we can achieve our goals and so much more!

MAX CLAMAN SCOPE Associate Board Member With close to two decades of experience creating and leading dynamic programs for youth, teens, and adults, Max Claman has dedicated his professional career to helping others. As a SCOPE volunteer, Max brings his ability to empower those around him, combines it with his love of camp (Camp Walt Whitman alumnus), and tops it off with a great sense of humor! Without a doubt, Max's efforts have been truly impactful :) As an avid SCOPE event volunteer, Max was seen earlier this fall cruising around in a golf cart in support of the SCOPE staff and fellow volunteers at the 21st Annual SCOPE Golf Tournament and then selling raffle tickets and helping out with event logistics at the Celebrate SCOPE Cocktail Party -- all in one day! As a SCOPE Associate Board member, Max also fosters the philanthropic interests of teens looking to give back through their support of SCOPE. His work as a SCOPE Junior Leadership Council (JLC) facilitator and mentor has meant providing our committed teens with tangible tools and resources to make a difference. In addition to his volunteer work with SCOPE, Max serves as the Co-Chair of ACA, NY & NJ’s EPIC Committee to design and facilitate professional development programming for members of the camp “emerging professionals” community. He’s an all-around contributor, making an impact in various ways -- we applaud Max and hope you will too (although he's hard to find on social channels)!  SCOPE ASSOCIATE BOARD

ADDISON'S MITZVAH PROJECT ADDISON KAPLAN SCOPE Mitzvah Project As Addison Kaplan prepares to become a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, October 30, we recognize her desire to share the gift of camp with children who are less fortunate than she. In her own words, “Camp is special to me, it's something I look forward to and to share that with someone else means a lot to me.” Having spent four summers and counting at Camp Chipinaw, Addison loves the time she spends creating memories with her friends, inside and outside of the bunk. It is her hope that she can help even more children experience new friendships, independence, and have an awesome summer at overnight camp, supported through SCOPE! Over the past three months Addison has rallied her friends, family, and camp community to give back to a cause that she truly believes in. Together, they’ve used her celebratory milestone as an opportunity to come together and make a difference; Addison’s Mitzvah Project has raised enough funds to send at least one child to overnight camp this coming summer! Mazel Tov Addison and many thanks to those who have helped to achieve this beautiful goal!

Trail Blazer Camps, New Jersey SCOPE Northeast As a SCOPE Partner Camp that has been partnering with SCOPE since we began 30 years ago, Trail Blazer Camps is an award-winning youth development organization that has touched the lives of thousands of young people for over 130 years! Through outdoor experiential programs, accessible to all, Trail Blazer Camps creates a world where all people have opportunities to go outside and grow within. Their overnight camp program helps each camper develop an appreciation for nature, a collaborative and self-determined spirit, and the ability to set and reach goals for themselves and with a group. Days are filled with small group adventures driven by a schedule that each group tailors to its interests – as such, no two sessions are ever the same. Every day brings campers opportunities to develop care and respect for themselves, their friends, their community, and the environment. VISIT TRAIL BLAZER'S WEBSITE
