Auburn University Campus Kitchen Hosts Visitors

Earlier this month, Auburn University Campus Kitchen had the pleasure of hosting some incredible visitors! It was a great opportunity to connect, share our mission, and explore the heart of our operations. We appreciate their time and the meaningful conversations about the impact we are making in the Auburn community. The future of food sustainability and support for our campus and local communities is looking brighter!

The AU Office of Outreach Global’s Greece Service-Learning Program is scheduled for March 7 – March 15, 2025, and is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members. During the program, participants will engage directly with Greek nonprofits and will have the following volunteer opportunities:

  • Providing workshops for underserved students on subjects such as music, videography, English, and more.
  • Participating in check-ups on Athens’ homeless populations alongside Greek social workers.
  • Supporting nonprofits with technical tasks like painting, cleaning, and gardening.
  • Assisting in a nonprofit’s support center by categorizing and organizing products for underserved youth.

In addition to volunteering, program participants will tour cultural sites like the Acropolis, Parthenon, and the Panathenaic Stadium. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact while immersing yourself in Greek culture!
