This was a busy month at Greenville, as we welcomed the fall weather, along with many successful PTA-sponsored programs:

  • Our 2nd Annual Greenville Read-A-Thon closed with students reading over 180,000 minutes altogether. We’re so proud of all of the bookworms we have in the building.

  • We were excited to mark the long-awaited return of After School Clubs -- huge thanks to our Clubs co-chairs for bringing them back to Greenville!

  • We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by hanging posters of distinguished members of the Latin community throughout school, tying into instruction delivered during Library time.

Here’s a peek at the kiddos enjoying a few of our other programs:

We had a great turnout for the PTA’s Walk to School Day, in partnership with the Greenburgh Police Department, and encourage families to continue their daily commute on foot this fall.

1st graders experienced Apple Cider Making with the Greenburgh Nature Center, who visited with a fun STEM program where each child gets a turn pressing fresh apple cider.

Students in our ICAP program welcomed Giving Retriever, our canine therapy partner, back into their classrooms. We’re excited to expand Giving Retriever’s reach this year into each of the integrated, co-taught classrooms, as part of our Whole Child initiative.

We hope that everyone has a fun and safe Halloween! Boo!
