LCCC Received a $1.43 Million Grant From The U.S. Small Business Administration

U.S. Representative Ryan Mackenzie, SBA Deputy Administrator Bill Briggs, and community leaders touring the Technology Center

LCCC was one of 11 organizations nationwide selected for the SBA’s Manufacturing in America Empower to Grow Grant Initiative, supporting training and technical assistance for small manufacturers.

LCCC welcomed U.S. Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, SBA Deputy Administrator Bill Briggs, and other community leaders for a tour of its Technology Center and a look at how this funding would expand workforce training opportunities across Lehigh, Carbon, and Schuylkill counties.

Through LCCC’s Customizable Mobile Training (CMT) program, industry-standard training was brought directly to small and mid-sized manufacturers, helping small manufacturers improve efficiency and productivity while giving employees the skills they needed to succeed. It was a beautiful day to welcome leaders to campus and showcase the work happening at LCCC and the opportunities ahead!

A Day on the Course for Student Success

The LCCC Foundation proudly hosted the annual Tony Boyle Memorial Golf Classic this September. The event brought together friends of the College, alumni, community partners, and supporters for a day of golf and shared purpose. This event is especially meaningful because it honors the legacy of Tony Boyle, who combined a passion for golf with a deep commitment to higher education.

Even though the sunshine and the excellent course made the day pleasant, the real success of the event was evident in the generosity of the people who took part. Because of the help from our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers, the Golf Classic raises money that is used directly to support scholarships and opportunities for LCCC students. Every swing, every putt, and every sponsorship represents a step in opening the way for students who are working hard to achieve their dreams.

The Tony Boyle Memorial Golf Classic is not merely a tournament; it is a tradition that demonstrates the strength of our community and expresses the belief that investing in education can transform people's lives.
