Students Can Earn Credits in LCCC Fall Late Start Sessions

Lehigh Carbon Community College will offer fall late start accelerated sessions for students needing to earn credits in a fast format. A 10-week fall session will be held from Sept. 30 through Dec. 13, and a seven-week session is set for Oct. 22 through Dec. 13. Continuing and new LCCC students are encouraged to enroll.

Classes in the 10-week session (start Sept. 30) are mostly offered online. Online courses provide course content, assignments and all assessments within the Canvas learning management system. Students can take courses in a range of subject areas, including accounting, art, business, computer science, criminal justice, economics, English, history, mathematics, music, speech, psychology, sociology, Spanish and more.

Available classes in the seven-week session (starting Oct. 22) are offered online and include courses in business, computer science, economics, English, and speech.

Tuition (including fees) is $225.00 per credit hour for students from one of LCCC’s sponsoring school districts and $376.00 per credit for other Pennsylvania residents. Schuylkill County residents pay $305.00 a credit, and out-of-state or foreign students pay $527.00 a credit. Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.

60 Years Strong!

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni came together to capture a special moment for our 60th Anniversary photo! This milestone is more than just a number; it represents six decades of learning, growth, and achievement made possible by the dedication of our community. We are proud to celebrate the legacy of the past while looking ahead to an even brighter future. Sixty years in the books, and here’s to many more!

A Day on the Course for Student Success

Earlier this September, the LCCC Foundation proudly hosted the annual Tony Boyle Memorial Golf Classic, and what a wonderful day it was! The event brought together friends of the College, alumni, community partners, and supporters for a day of golf, camaraderie, and shared purpose. This event is especially meaningful because it honors the legacy of Tony Boyle, who combined a passion for golf with a deep commitment to higher education.

While the sunshine and beautiful course made it an enjoyable outing, the day's true success was measured by the generosity of those who participated. Thanks to the support of our golfers, sponsors, and volunteers, the Golf Classic raises funds that directly support scholarships and opportunities for LCCC students. Each swing, each putt, and each sponsorship is a step toward opening doors for students who are working hard to pursue their dreams.

The Tony Boyle Memorial Golf Classic is more than just a tournament; it is a tradition that reflects the strength of our community and the belief that investing in education transforms lives.

LCCC Team Engages with AWS Leaders to Strengthen Regional Workforce Development

LCCC Workforce Development and Academic Services teams had an incredible experience at the AWS Regional Workforce Development Leadership Kickoff at Amazon.com HQ2. Over two days, our team connected with leaders from Georgia, Philadelphia, and North Carolina to tour the AWS Data Center, engage with infrastructure experts, and participate in strategic planning sessions.

These discussions focused on building strong talent pipelines and preparing students for high-paying, in-demand jobs. The LCCC team shared insights from our programs while learning innovative strategies to enhance workforce training and regional partnerships.

We’re excited to take these ideas back to LCCC, continuing our commitment to empowering students, supporting local economic growth, and strengthening connections with industry leaders like AWS.
