First Communion Families
I f you missed the parent meeting about preparing your child for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (your child's First Confession is made before First Communion), the books and schedule of information you will need were handed out. We will send these materials home with your student this coming week so please be on the lookout for them.

Confirmation Retreat  coming up October 27th - October 28th
Important registration materials were sent home last week to all students planning to be confirmed in May of 2019. This packet contains time sensitive material.  The Archdioceses of Detroit requires that all candidates participate in a retreat before receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please contact Tricia Kesteloot if your son or daughter is unable to attend the St. Paul retreat. There are several alternate retreats at other parishes within our diocese. All completed paperwork should be returned to the RE office by Friday, October 19th.

Confirmation Candidates - Training for liturgical ministries at Sunday Masses will take place during class on Monday, October 15th and Tuesday, October 16th.  All eighth grade students will be trained to serve at Mass in one of the following ministries:  Lector, Usher, Gift Bearer or Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.  Being an active, fully participating member of the church is part of being Catholic.  Our hope is that after Confirmation, these students will continue to serve in these ministries.

Grades 2 - 5 Parents are Invited to Join their Children
On Monday, October 29th and Tuesday, October 30th, children, grades 2 through 5 will participate in Eucharistic Adoration.  Parents are invited and encouraged to join us.  Please drop your children off to their classrooms and proceed directly to the church.

This workshop is a requirement of the Archdiocese of Detroit for adult volunteers and staff who work with our children.
