Less than a month after Hurricane Florence left a path of ruin and devastation across the Carolinas, Hurricane Michael pummeled his way across the state yet again, after flattening Florida's panhandle - Mexico Beach and Panama City. Although the hurricanes have passed, many areas are dealing with devastation that will likely take months and/or years. Many of our agencies and staffs are in the process of rebuilding their own lives while struggling to keep their doors open to help others in their communities.
SEACAA is ready and willing to help in any way possible, as agencies lead the way in the recovery efforts. NC and FL have posted ways our membership can help.

The House that KCEOC Built
|
|
Barbourville, KY
-
KCEOC Community Action Partnership, Inc.
built a miniature duplicate of a real house for low-income families served through KCEOC's Housing Development Program. An official set of house plans was scaled down by the architects and engineers at Standard Homes, Inc. for the duplicate to be as close to the original as possible.
The mobile house was completed with many features to be used for the energy conservation education program. This authentic, scaled-to-size house is also used for career education programs and to teach pre-purchase and post-purchase homeowners how to maintain their home.
