Dear Parents and Friends of SWAN,

Thank you for working with our teachers and the office team in getting the school year started! On behalf of the SWAN Team, I want to thank you for the privilege of educating the children of this amazing community. We look forward to seeing all the learning and growing in the next 10 months.

This school year, SWAN resumed after-school, preschool, weekend and virtual classrooms for 209 students. Regardless if you are new to Mandarin learning or returning from a gap year, we are working closely with our teachers to bridge the learning gap. We appreciate your patience as we work through the process. In the coming weeks, you might receive communication about your child's "potential" transfer to a more appropriate level.

• Counting down to Halloween celebration on 10/29 (Friday). For SWAN families only, click here to join the annual virtual parade.
• ZOOM Curriculum Night, 11/2 - 5PM. Early Dismissal at 3:30pm. Learn about SWAN's learning objectives and classroom expectation.
• SWAN Preschool First PTA is coming soon! Announcement of position on this Friday, 10/15/2021. Thank you for the responses and nominations.

After-School Announcement

• 11/2 - NO IN-PERSON AFTER-SCHOOL DUE TO DOE CLOSURE. Virtual Classroom from 3:45pm - 4:45pm. Zoom link to follow in google classroom.
• 11/4 - NO IN-PERSON AFTER-SCHOOL, DOE EARLY DISMISSAL. ASP Zoom Parents Teacher Conference between 3pm to 6pm. Sign-Up Genius available on and after 10/20th, please look for teacher's announcement.
• A friendly reminder to notify the office when your child does not need pick-up service.

Weekday Virtual Announcement

• If your child has been exposed to COVID-19 in day school or to someone close in the household. Please email the Executive Director, Fu Mei Cheung ASAP for next step.
• Semester One ends on 12/4/2021 for both in-person weekend and virtual weekday students.

• Looking for volunteer hours? SWAN is seeking high-school aged students to assist with our after school program between 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday. Click here to apply.
