WAWM Works to Address Students with Mental Health and Trauma Needs
Inspired by a March, 2017 series of articles in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel titled, “A Time to Heal”, the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District went to work to design a plan that would better meet the needs of students suffering from issues related to mental health and trauma. Implementing this plan is now a district-wide focus for the 2017-2018 school year. Skyward Family Access
Coming Soon!
We appreciate your patience as we work to implement each Skyward feature.
“Family Access” (similar to Parent Portal on Infinite Campus) will be available on October 30, 2017. It will enable parents to look up things like schedules, attendance, and grades on any personal device! In the meantime, we will be using paper printouts for schedules and grades. If specific information is needed, it is available at the Main Office in each school. James E. Dottke Settles in at
New Building
Since 1983, James E. Dottke High School has offered alternative learning opportunities for high school students in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. Now, staff and students are settling in and adjusting to a more spacious school which features a cafeteria, gymnasium, and auditorium space. Junior Mark Wright appreciates the larger classrooms in the new building. “The larger rooms allow more space for activities and also give teachers better opportunities to support individual students too.” Click here to read more.
