Faith Award Program Overview

The AHG Catholic Faith Awards (CFAs) were created for Catholic American Heritage Girls to learn more

about their faith and develop a stronger relationship with Christ in a fun and hands-on manner. The

Catholic Faith Awards were designed for each of the AHG Program Levels to better understand the AHG Oath, Mission, and Creed.

The AHG National Catholic Committee (AHG NCC) developed the Catholic Faith Award Program to be worked on each year to better comprehend the fullness of the faith. Each award is divided into segments — one segment for each year of the program level.

Please reference the Faith Award Program Overview for a full explanation of the program, an up-to-date listing of study options, and detailed descriptions, purchasing links, and implementation guides for each study. Find it here: AHGfamily>AHGresource>Faith Program Emphasis

Eucharist Revival Patch

The AHG National Catholic Committee Eucharistic Revival Patch was created to answer the call of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops movement to restore understanding and devotion of the Eucharist—the Source and Summit of the Catholic faith.

  • Through the patch activities, girls will develop a deeper understanding of the Eucharist and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
  • Any youth can earn it.
  • Girl Members should wear the patch on the back of the vest or sash.

Find NCC Resources

To search for all things NCC, log into your ahgfamily.org account, select the "documents" drop-down on the left panel, and click on AHG Resources. Once there, use the tag word "catholic" in the tag field for a list of all the resources available.

Faithful Fun!

Use AHG's Creed Card Dash as a springboard to meaningful, faith-focused mini-lessons for your Troop. AHG Creed Card Dash is a next-level matching game where participants must play through seven Levels of pairs (matching saints), series (designated number of different Creed words), and collections (designated number of the same Creed word) to end the game as the winner! Throughout the game, each card describes a saint from the Catholic faith and how he or she lived in light of a specific Creed word.

Plus, every purchase of Creed Card Dash has a QR code in the instructions for a download of a free devotion guide.

Living our Catholic Faith

Respect Life

  • Organize praying the Rosary for the unborn after a Mass and involve your church family.
  • Send encouragement cards for new moms — this is also a great way to connect with the community.

Advent and Christmas Ideas

  • Celebrate a Three Kings Day with a party and invite your parish’s priests.
  • Volunteer at a senior center. They love visitors during the Christmas season.
  • Send Christmas cards to military families.
  • Go to Adoration as a Troop.

Troops in Action

Sharing is caring — send us photos of your Troop living out the Catholic faith:

  • Patch activities
  • CFA activities
  • Troop ministry events
  • Troop rosary

Or anything that shows our Catholic faith in action.

Getting Your Troop Involved

Check out these practical tips and ideas to get your Troop more involved in their parish as a youth ministry:

  • Ask the pastor or parish leadership how the Troop can provide community work around the parish, like cleaning parish statues, picking up loose trash around the parish, etc.
  • Contact your parish ministries to check how your Troop can collaborate with their drives. For example, hold a diaper drive for a pregnancy crisis center.
  • Ask if your Troop can send pictures of their activities to the parish’s bulletin or the diocesan newspaper. Parishioners love seeing youth in action; it also recruits new members.
