Lithia Reno Subaru Supports River Cleanup
Last month 11 associates from Lithia Reno Subaru were among the volunteers at the Truckee River Clean-up event coordinated by Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB). Lithia Reno’s staff helped beautify a park by removing invasive weeds. The team also eliminated vegetation around a pond to make it more accessible.

In addition to sending a team of volunteers, Lithia Reno helped generate community support for the event. During the month prior to the cleanup, Lithia Reno’s radio and television advertisements included a 10-second call to action encouraging community members to participate. According to KTMB, more than 600 volunteers participated, picking up 17 tons of trash and 25 tons of green waste.

Explore the Small Things: Make Energy Savings Simple
We often hear about the big things we can do to save on energy costs, like upgrading to energy efficient lighting or HVAC equipment. But what about the small things? Here are two simple steps to use less energy.
Turn off equipment after hours.

Stop overnight energy draw by turning off equipment when not in use. Some retailers focus on shop equipment, turning off compressors at the end of the day. ENERGY STAR estimates up to $30 annual savings when you use a computer’s sleep mode or power-down feature.

That’s right, according to PG&E, dusting diffusers and lamps can improve workplace lighting. We have heard from an auto dealer that routinely cleans LED lenses and skylights to allow for maximum output.
SOA Shares the Love with Headquarters Vegetable Garden
Did you know SOA's Camden headquarters is home to a Share the Love Garden? More than 30 SOA volunteers help plant and harvest the garden, which supplied over 400 pounds of produce last year alone. Fruits of the project go to a Camden emergency food provider.
