Ministry highlights of
Sugar Creek Bible Camp
October 2022
It seems like the fall colors fully transformed overnight. There is change every morning when I drive in. For example: this morning I saw three deer in the horse pasture, a bald eagle flying overhead, and a big fat rabbit running for cover. You never know what you will see here at camp. Wonder what I will see tomorrow?

How do we listen to our Creator, with so many voices and messages bombarding us? Join with Spiritual Director Carla Stanton as we learn to center ourselves in listening, speaking, relaxing, finding peace and joy even amidst the noise of life.

This retreat allows you time for relaxation, adventure, reflection, hearty home-style meals, and fellowship at your own pace. No preparations required; all you need to do is say yes.

Click below for more information on the Women's Retreat that is happening here at Sugar Creek Bible Camp the weekend of October 28-30.
We had a fantastic Yesterday's Youth event in October.
Ross Gerdes, naturalist, from Allamakee County Conservation spoke about the seasonal changes in the Driftless Area. He surprised us with a visit from a timber rattle snake and a tiger salamander. Wanda prepared a delicious lunch and dessert for everyone. In the afternoon Mark Glasbrenner wowed us with his vocal and guitar talents as well as a wide variety of music styles.
Hope to see you at the next Yesterday's Youth event coming up on December 5. Call the office at 608-734-3113 to RSVP. See below for more information.

Looking for a Few Good Homes
Do you love horses? Have extra space in your barn or pasture? Ever thought about having a horse of your own? Why don't you try boarding a horse, or even two, from Sugar Creek over the winter to try it out first?
We are looking for a safe loving environment for our horses to be sheltered through fall, winter and into spring. You can pick-up or we can deliver. We will provide tack for you.
Call the Sugar Creek office at 608-734-3113 if you are interested and we will talk about the options. Thank You!
In the Wild Wild Turkeys at SCBC
Wild gobblers were spotted lounging in the horse pasture near Koinonia Lodge last week. Can you spot four turkeys just to the left of the red leaves.

Did you know...
  • Only male turkeys gobble, but turkeys make a lot of different sounds too
  • Wild turkeys can fly
  • They sleep in trees
  • An adult turkey has between 5,000-6,000 feathers
Grateful! Thankful! Blessed!
Memorials and Honorariums...
