Ukulele 101 Series

Tuesdays from 7-8 pm: October 4, 11, 18 & 25, and November 1 & 8


Group leader Eric Guerin, courtesy of Apple Tree Arts, leads this 6-week workshop on how to hold, tune, strum and play basic chords on a soprano ukulele. You do not need to know how to read music to participate!


Need a ukulele? Please note this request when you complete the registration form.


This course meets on Tuesday evenings October 4, 11, 18 & 25, and November 1 & 8.

New England Horror Writers - Halloween Storytelling

Saturday, October 8 from 1-4 pm


GPL welcomes authors from New England Horror Writers for a spooktacular afternoon of horror readings, writing craft discussion and book signings from 1-4 pm. Authors will alternate with reading passages from their books and discussing the craft of writing and what makes horror so compelling. A book signing will occur at the end from 3:30-4 pm; authors will handle their own book sales.

Teen Spooky Movie Night: Hocus Pocus

Thursday, October 20 from 6-8 pm


Three 17th-century witches, hanged for their murderous crimes, are resurrected on Halloween in modern-day Salem by an unsuspecting boy, who must now figure out how to get them back in the ground.


This is the original 1993 movie, rated PG. Runtime is 95 minutes.

Join us for another session of Anime Club! For teens in grades 6-12 only.

Tween and Teen Manga Book Club

Tuesday, October 25 from 6-7 pm


Tweens (grades 6-8) and teens (grades 9-12) are invited to join our Manga Book Club.


Stop by the teen room prior to the meeting to pick up copies of the books to read.

Tween and Teen Mandala Mini Pumpkins

Wednesday, October 26 from 6-7 pm


Let your creativity fly in this workshop where various painting techniques, including pointillism, are demonstrated but not required. As always, participants are encouraged to create something from the heart.


This free program is for tweens and teens in grades 6-12 only. Sign up is required and begins October 12.


Adults interested in this program are encouraged to sign up for the adult session from 7:30-8:30.

Goats & Giggles

Saturday, October 29 from 10:30 am -12:30 pm


Join us in the library parking lot to feed and cuddle with curious and playful baby goats.


This is an all ages event.


Please not - only a handful of people will be allowed to enter the goat pen at a time.

Celebrate the spookiest holiday by stopping by the Grafton Public Library to pick up special Halloween treats! Visit each desk for a unique treat. We'll be giving away: Dum Dums, stickers, Halloween comics, and stress-relieving poppers.
