There is no denying that the Fall season is officially upon us.  Crisp mornings,  falling leaves, and bustling school buses signal the beginning of yet another new busy season.

Boston has such a vibrant community spirit, and with each new season comes a fresh wave of events that bring people together. From fall festivals and farmers' markets to community celebrations and soon to come winter holiday celebrations, there’s always something happening that highlights the city's unique culture and fosters connection.

These events not only offer fun activities but also provide opportunities for local organizations to showcase their work, engage residents, and promote community well-being.

The CHA team is happy to share the collective good work that we’re doing with several community organizations, corporate partners and others. See below for more information.

As always, we love to hear from you so follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn! We appreciate your continued support and engagement with CHA.

DoorDash team presents check to RCC's Rox Box

A look inside the Rox Box

CHA continues to work with DoorDash on building community partnerships with local organizations to help address food insecurity.

On September 9, we worked with DoorDash and Roxbury Community College (RCC) to host an event celebrating the announcement of a new partnership in support of RCC's Rox Box – an on-campus resource that provides healthy food and toiletries to students who are food insecure.

DoorDash will provide $75,000 over three years to ensure that the pantry is stocked with shelf stable and fresh foods, as well as feminine hygiene products, diapers, formula, and other personal care items.

The day's events included a back-to-school supply give away (supplies donated by DoorDash), a cookout for the RCC community catered by our partners at No Books No Ball, a tour of the Rox Box facilities, and a brief speaking program. You can catch highlights from the event here.

We are excited to see how this funding will help the Rox Box team continue to provide supports for their students and look forward to seeing how it progresses over the next three years of partnership.

On October 2, the CHA team joined Meet Boston at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Boston Site Leadership meeting to discuss workforce development and give insight into the PATH Program.

While we’ve maintained a steady pace of progress, there is still more work to be done to increase the number of hired candidates and we seek your support in enhancing our efforts by sharing the P.A.T.H. flier with your networks or direct them to this page to apply.

If you or anyone you know is interested in a new career in hospitality and tourism, click here to apply for open positions. We have additional qualified candidates in the pipeline and several exciting career opportunities available.
