What resources exist for patients who have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer? Please join the Colorado Cancer Coalition’s Breast Cancer Task Force on Tuesday, October 21st, from Noon - 1:00 pm as we hear from two programs about resources in Colorado:

Jessica Werner, Policy Specialist at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF), will speak about the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) in Colorado.

Carlo Caballero, LPC, CCM Principal Bilingual Patient Navigator for the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement at the University of Colorado Cancer Center, will speak about their office’s resources for communities across Colorado.
Whether you're navigating a personal diagnosis, supporting a loved one, or working in healthcare, this series offers practical, up-to-date insights to help you make informed choices about your care, act early, and facilitate access to quality care in Colorado.

The Cancer Support Community launches Peer Clinical Trials Support Program for Hispanic and Latino Communities
Cancer Support Community (CSC) is officially launching the Peer Clinical Trials Support Program for Hispanic and Latino Communities! This program is designed to address the unique barriers Hispanic and Latino(a) individuals often face when navigating the complex world of clinical trials.
Through this program, participants connect with trained peer mentors who share similar life experiences. Peer Mentors provide encouragement, education, and culturally responsive support - empowering participants to make informed decisions about clinical trial participation and their cancer care.

Lymphoma Survivors Wanted for Heart Health Study
Are you a lymphoma survivor interested in research that could improve cardiovascular care after cancer?
CU Anschutz researchers are conducting a study to better understand how chemotherapy impacts heart and artery health.
You may qualify if you:
- Are 18 years or older
- Completed chemotherapy at least 4 weeks ago
- Have not used hormone therapy in the past 12 months
- Currently not pregnant/lactating
What’s involved:
- Two in-person visits over 5 days (~5 hours total)
- Non-invasive cardiovascular testing
- $100 compensation + insights into your heart health

Esta discusión contará la experiencia personal de Arnoldo Rodriguez, M.Ed. de Texas, sobreviviente de cáncer. El compartirá su experiencia personal y su decisión al participar en un estudio clínico de terapia celular de Car-T, explicar el proceso de como participar en un estudio clínico, y compartir detalles sobre la recuperación de este tratamiento.

Cancer survivors face many challenges when they return to work during and/or after their treatment. The Well-Being and Cancer at Work (WeCanWork) program aims to improve working cancer survivors' access to experts who assess their ability to continue working during periods of illness and disability. WeCanWork also aims to empower patients who want to work and oncology care providers to support patients through occupational medicine referrals
