Expanded Hours and Crypt Tours!

Expanded King's Chapel History Tour Hours

Thank you to all who visited and toured King’s Chapel following our grand reopening in September! It has been a pleasure to welcome visitors back into the historic chapel and share our history in this space once again!

Throughout October, History Program hours are extended! We are now open from 10 AM to 4 PM on Wednesdays through Saturdays, and hope to remain open through the rest of the year. In addition to guided sanctuary tours offered on the hour, the chapel is now open for self-guided tours. Visitors may explore the chapel at their own pace, with the guidance of interpretive signs throughout the space and the expertise of our team of Historic Site Educators. While advance tickets are still recommended for guided tours, both tour tickets and self-guided admission are available for purchase on-site. We hope to see you soon!

The History Program Educators are ready to give you a tour of King's Chapel!

Special Halloween Events: The Return of ‘Tales from the Crypt’
Join the History Program throughout October for the return of Tales from the Crypt, our annual Halloween candlelit tours!
In-Person Crypt Tours Return!
Home to one of the few surviving church crypts in New England, King's Chapel invites you to descend beneath the church to discover the darker side of the 18th-century crypt. Walk among the 21 tombs to learn about historic burial customs and the people laid to rest beneath the chapel!  

In-person tours will be offered on Fridays and Saturdays, October 15 through October 30. Tours are capped at 10 participants per time; tickets $15 per person. 
Virtual Options for Tales from the Crypt Also Available
In addition to the return of in-person tours, virtual versions of the program will be offered at 5:30 PM on Thursdays, October 14 and 28. Donations appreciated.

Masks Required
Masks are required for all those inside King's Chapel, regardless of vaccination status.
Hand Sanitizer Available
Visitors are encouraged to utilize the hand sanitizer stations, provided throughout the building.
Pre-Visit Forms
Visitors are required to complete Pre-Visit Forms prior to their tours, which include providing basic contact information for contact tracing purposes.
