Internet Up & Ready

Many things that come easy in America do not come easily in South Africa. This includes a reliable internet connection.

We have struggled for the past few years in maintaining a reliable internet connection at both the Blessman Campus and Del Cramer Ministry Campus.

We are so grateful to report that one of our prayer requests from last months e-newsletter has been answered! God is good and is a provider in all things - even internet connection!

This not only serves for our ministry organization and communication, but also will help at our computer learning center called, The Bridge, where we will be teaching children and adults about computer and internet.

Thank you for praying and to all those who have supported The Bridge Computer Learning Center!

Orphan Highlight
Read about one of the children we serve.

Albert Bloem is 13 years and he is a part of the feeding center at Del Cramer. He lives with his two younger brothers and his mom and dad in Mokopane. He attends Sokgedlwa Primary School and his favorite subjects are English and math.

Albert says that what really makes him happy is when he hears the sound of a piano, keyboard or an organ. He also loves to play soccer and tennis with his friends.  His favorite thing about living in his community is being able to go to church. When he grows up he would like to go to college and become a school teacher.

When asked how Blessman Ministries (BMI) has helped him in the past, He answered by saying that BMI provided him and his brothers with complete school uniforms and shoes.

Please pray for Albert and his family. Consider supporting
our feeding programs to help orphans and vulnerable children like him to be fed, taught scripture, and given hope for their futures.

**The South African Government gives "orphan" status to any South African child who has only one parent.

Team Member Testimony
By Dino Rosene of Boone, IA
To describe the missions trip in one word would be INDESCRIBABLE!  It was all I thought it would be and more.  It was a huge privilege for me to get to go on this mission trip, and God willing, I hope to go again.
My heart did a huge flip-flop seeing the beautiful children and their joy in seeing us come.  Being a part of the Samaritan's Feet shoe distribution was very special to watch and to see the children's smiles and expressions.  I think the most important part of the week was seeing that they truly are receiving the Gospel message and they have a true awareness and love for the Lord in their hearts.  I was so blessed when many of the children's prayer requests during the shoe ministry was that they would "continue to grow up to serve Jesus!"

Meet the Staff
Employee: Becki Rippey
Role: Director of U.S. Operations
Location: Iowa Office
Length of Service: 9 Years

Becki Rippey has served with us for over nine years in our office in Iowa. She runs our U.S. office operations, mission team leadership, oversees fundraising development, manages our accounting department, and so much more. She has helped develop and build Blessman Ministries from the ground up and is the longest standing employee and has served the longest time at BMI, outside of Dr. Blessman and Beth. Almost every volunteer and encounter with BMI will put you in contact with Becki. We are all so grateful for her obedience to God's call on her life to serve in the Blessman Ministries family.

Becki is a mother of two, Asher (6) and Finley (3). Her husband Nathan works for the Iowa State Patrol. Becki and Nathan attend New Hope Assembly of God in Urbandale, IA where Nathan serves on the worship team. Nathan and Becki are expecting their third child December 1st and are excited, although sad, to announce her retirement from Blessman Ministries, in order for her to become a stay at home mom.

We have loved having Becki as a cornerstone for our ministry and are praying God's blessings on her new season of ministry to her family!

Ambassadors of God's Love
Blessman Ministries Missionaries

We are blessed to have many couples serving with us oversees. Many of them have their own blog's recording their ministry experiences and use it to communicate with their donors and supporters.

Our Ambassador program is a volunteer missionary program for individuals, couples, and families to commit to a longer extent of missions work in South Africa.

Mark and Jennifer Bettinger started their service with us in August. They moved their three children with them and are in charge of our children's church ministry at Lighthouse Church and fundraising from within South Africa. These, among many additional things, will encompass much of their time on the field. You can follow their blog at Whisper Listening.

Our newest Ambassadors just landed last weekend! Doc & Beth's own son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Rene Blessman have moved to South Africa to serve. Rene will be Dr. Blessman's right hand gal with her primary role being in our Feeding Program, in addition to many many other things. Dustin will be our missionary pilot and will also work to develop our well-drilling outreach. You can follow their blog at Living Life Loud.

In the next year we expect three more Ambassador's to hit the field, Matt & Jacinda Shields with their baby Stella, and Sarah Akin. They are all raising funds yet, but are on the road to becoming Ambassador's of God's Love in South Africa. Matt & Shelia Shields have a blog, Going.
