Volunteer Update
October 30, 2019
|
|
Dear CRC Volunteer,
Thank you to you and all our incredible volunteers for your service to CRC!
Last month, volunteers gave more than 2,300 hours to CRC by donating their time at our Resale Stores, Food & Nutrition Program, Integrative Services and Interns Program, Special Events and Development, Admin Support and Holiday Baskets Program.
Your hours not only benefit those we serve, they also can help raise funding for our programs. Please remember to track all your volunteer hours in Volgistics so that we can show the true “cost” of running CRC. This is a valuable part of applying for and complying with grants and engaging potential sponsors and donors. And don't forget that many employers make donations based on your volunteer hours to nonprofits you serve.
Please consider checking with your company’s corporate giving person or with your human resources/personnel office to request a donation to CRC based on your volunteer work for which we are so grateful.
Thank you for all you do!

Congratulations to our October Volunteer of the Month: Chemaine Soule
Chemaine is a volunteer at the
San Marcos Resale Store
and was nominated by manager Mary Cunningham. Mary says, “Chemaine shows up every Saturday and works in the back area to sort and tag clothing. She does whatever it takes to get the job done!” Thank you to Chemaine for your heart of service and willingness to support our mission through your work at the Resale Store each week!

Congratulations to our new CRC Ambassadors!
CRC Ambassadors represent our mission and programs as “Outreach and Development” volunteers who have a deeper understanding of CRC and have unique volunteer opportunities presented to them. They are “table hosts” at community events, work on special event committees, take on fundraising projects, give presentations and more. The CRC Ambassador Training happens 2-3 times a year based on need and level of interest.
Newly Trained: Jean Houts, Sherry Proctor-Oonk, Ross Sutherland, Norma Yuskos and Board of Directors member Andy Rinde
