October 10 is World Mental Health DayMaternal mental illness increases risk of preterm birth and preeclampsia, and it may be responsible for 20 percent of postnatal maternal death (by suicide) as revealed in the USAID MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership Landscape Analysis Brief. Pray for mothers as they navigate this difficult time.

We give prayers of thanks for protection against malaria. The WHO is recommending widespread use of the RTS,S/AS01 (RTS,S) malaria vaccine among children in sub-Saharan Africa and in other regions with moderate to high malaria transmission based on results from an ongoing pilot program in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi that has reached more than 800,000 children since 2019. More 
 
Pray for the people of Afghanistan after at least 100 people were killed today in a blast at a mosque full of people there to pray. Pray for comfort for their families, pray for peace in the area.
