3-Day Workshop:
The Joy of Self Expression Using Your Smart Phone with Laurie Klein 

Friday-Sunday, October 2-4
Listen closely, can you hear your art is speaking to you? It may begin as a whisper. This is the poetry of your heart.
How do you gain a fresh perceptive during this changing times, unrest and insecurity?

Come play with Laurie Klein and learn how to tap into your creative juices! Everyone has a smartphone these days – one of the most accessible creative tools we have at our fingertips. Through a series of fun exercises, you will realize how taking photographs can be transformative, healing, and fun.
 
Friday, October 2nd
4-5pm: Cocktails at Angell's Lane
Join Laurie for cocktails at PAC Friday evening for a meet and greet and a brief discussion about tapping into your feelings and creativity during these unprecedented times.

Saturday October 3rd
9-11am: ZOOM morning discussion. We will talk about your iPhone. Laurie will give you assignments.

12:30- 2:30pm: meet Laurie at Location in Providence area TBD. (I am hoping for Swan Lake Cemetery, that will be determined if open, if not Roger Williams Park. In case of rain an indoor area will be designated)

4-6pm: ZOOM classroom talk about experiences and showcase students images.

Sunday October 4th
9-11am: ZOOM morning discussion. Laurie will share some of her favorite apps for capture with your iPhone. Laurie will give you assignments for the afternoon.

12:30- 2:30pm: meet Laurie at Location in Providence area TBD.

4-6pm: ZOOM classroom talk about experiences, and work on post production using apps. Laurie will be featuring Snapseed and other apps. Final Critique
 

What you need: Smart Phone, Make sure it is fully charged.

Renowned photographer and educator, Laurie Klein, is regarded as one of the most influential infrared photographers in the world. Laurie holds a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA from Ohio University. Early in her career, Laurie studied with Ansel Adams. She is the author of Infrared Photography: Artistic Techniques for Brilliant Images and Photographing The Female Form with Digital Infrared  both published by Amherst Media, Hand Coloring Black and White Photography published by Quarry Publishers, and is published in numerous magazines. Her images have been exhibited globally. Laurie teaches regularly at Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Maine Media, and presents her own boutique workshops.

Workshop Enrollment
Workshop size is limited and enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Providence Art Club members will have the first opportunity to enroll. If enrollment maximum is reached, you may add your name to a wait list. The Art Club strives to provide the highest quality art classes in various media.

Cancellation Policy
+ In the event you are unable to attend a workshop you have registered for, please contact Abba Cudney
+ The Providence Art Club may find it necessary to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered members will be contacted and refunded the full course fee.
