EXCITING NEW COUNSELING PARTNERSHIP!
Exciting partnership news! We are proud to announce our new partnership with Neighborhood House to expand our behavioral health resources. Neighborhood House and JFCS are naturally aligned through our shared commitment to compassionate, person-centered, trauma-informed mental health care. Thanks to support from the Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders, our partnership with Neighborhood House will support a licensed JFCS clinician to offer counseling on-site at their Center 55+, helping us open access so more of our community can get the care they need, including neighbors on Medicare and Oregon Health Plan.

Aging & Memory Series Kicks Off
Last week, JFCS and MJCC kicked off the first of three educational sessions in our Aging and Memory series! Led by JFCS clinicians, the session brought together an engaged and curious group to explore how our brains and memory change as we age. Through thoughtful discussions, shared personal experiences, and practical tips for supporting memory and brain health, participants gained valuable insights and new strategies to put into practice.
We're grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the first session such a success! We look forward to continuing the conversation over the next two sessions.
Missed your chance to register? While this popular series is currently full, JFCS plans to share all the materials at the end of the series. It will be posted on our website and will include series handouts and materials, notes from the sessions, and resources. Stay tuned for more details!
This program is possible thanks to a grant from the Robison Foundation for Jewish Elders.

It may only be October, but it’s already time to talk turkey! Thanksgiving will be here before we know it, and we're getting a start on making sure our neighbors have a warm, nourishing holiday meal to enjoy.
JFCS is continuing our 26-year tradition of brightening the season for families and individuals of all ages, including greater Portland’s Holocaust Survivors, experiencing hard times. Our Thanksgiving Food Boxes and Family-to-Family program give hundreds of people who are struggling reasons to celebrate.
Join us as the whole community comes together again this year -- community partners collecting food, volunteers packing and delivering food boxes, and generous donors helping to make the holidays brighter for community members in need.
