Founded in 1966 as a water supply corporation, Mustang Special Utility District proudly serves 120K+ residents while hosting more than 
43K metered connections. Recognized as a "Superior Water Company" 
by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, we remain devoted 
to delivering reliable water service and being a trusted resource 
and committed partner in our communities.

Good things are in the works at Temple Dane Pump Station, like upgrades and improvements to the facility, as well as a recently added well to help provide support during the summer months.

Some of the repairs and updates include a new pump station roof, in addition to installation of yard piping to complete well construction and officially connect the pump station to Mustang's distribution system.

Upon completion, this project will increase the pumping and storage capacity from 8,200 gallons per minute (gpm) to 16,400 gpm to account for the increased demand within the service area.

A national day of action to raise awareness, inviting us to see how crucial our need for water really is by visualizing life without it. Very quickly, we learn how our health, environment, and the infrastructure of economy depend on reliable access to clean water.

With cooler temps soon becoming more the norm, and outdoor watering decreasing quite a bit, let's talk about some smart ways to put your water saver hat on—indoors.

Here's some tips so you can feel extra confident that you're still doing your part to save water when you can:

• Look for leaks: Fall's a good time to inspect faucets, toilets and under-the-sink pipes for pesky drips or seeping.
• Install water-saving fixtures: Swap out shower heads or faucet aerators for low-flow options to reduce usage without sacrificing performance.
• Full loads only: Run dishwashers and washing machines at near capacity to maximize water efficiency—it saves tons of time, too.
• Quicker showers: The shorter the better—well, don't be silly.
  Cutting two minutes off your routine can save gallons per day.
