YOUR GIFTS AT WORK
Our purpose is deeper than our pools, and we are so grateful to those who give so that others can thrive, especially at this critical time. Special thanks to United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Grunin Foundation and New Jersey Natural Gas for their recent partnership in providing funds to our Y to help children with literacy through the summer and reopen our Y to our members. View our summer camp video with thanks for your support.

When you're part of the Y, you're helping to strengthen lives. Thank you to everyone who is helping to make a difference.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Supporting Remote Learners & Working Families
Our Y is here as a partner to schools and families who need remote learning support, after school enrichment, and safe, affordable child care. Read our press release on ways our Y is helping parents face child care challenges.

> Y Academy offers convenient options for children in grades K-6 whose schedules are split between in-person and remote learning. Students receive support with virtual lessons and activities, participate in physical fitness, STEAM challenges, and social-emotional learning. View recent NJNN media coverage.

> Y-Kids Before and After School enrichment extends your child’s learning day in a meaningful way. With a focus on character development and healthy living, children experience academic, physical and social activities under the supervision of positive, caring role models at their own school.

> YMCA Academic Preschool and our new Full Day Kindergarten give children a strong foundation of learning for future academic success in a safe, enriching environment. Our low staff-to-child ratios give each child the attention they need to learn, grow and thrive.
HEALTHY LIVING
If you're not a member yet, you're a returning member, or know someone who would benefit from being part of the Y, new members can sign up now through the end of October with NO JOINER FEE! Here's how.
Expanded Hours and Amenities Plus No Joiner Fee for New and Returning Members!
We're so happy to see our members again and to expand our programs safely each week. We’ve been welcoming back members for a variety of fitness programs including group ex classes, pickle ball, lap and family swim, aqua fitness, swim lessons and personal training at our locations.

Starting Oct. 5, we're expanding amenities and hours for our members:

> Swimmers can access showers and changing areas.
> Group exercise classes are moving indoors.
> Reservations are no longer needed for wellness areas.
> Hours are increased at locations in Red Bank, Old Bridge and Freehold.
During uncertain times, it's important to take care of your physical and mental health, recognize symptoms of depression, and to ask for help when you or your loved ones need it. Here are ways to help children cope through crisis.
Mental Health Update | It's Ok to Ask for Help
These times are hard - particularly for those who were already struggling before the pandemic. We know from research, the addition of social isolation and limited resources increases risks for child abuse, mental health crisis and suicide.

Our YMCA Counseling & Social Services team has been strengthening children, teens and adults living with depression, substance abuse and many other difficult situations since 1974. We're here to help with safe, confidential outpatient and outreach services, in-person or through telehealth, and we're just a call away: 732-290-9040.

TOGETHERHOOD®
Activating People for Good
Due to the COVID-19 public health crisis, Togetherhood® events planned for 2020 have expanded to support most urgent community needs including blood donations, food drives, baby pantries, emergency child care, wellness check-ins for seniors, COVID-19 testing, and more. We are grateful to our volunteers and sustaining members who have helped to give back at this most critical time of need for many.

We're looking for volunteers to continue our good work. Sign up to give help or learn more about getting help. We're stronger together.
