Greetings from the Museum of Art, where we are excited this month to celebrate the inauguration of Bowdoin’s 16th president Saka Zaki on Saturday, October 14. Staff and students will be providing special tours of the Museum throughout that weekend. This month the Museum opens two exhibitions, Currents: Art Since 1875 and Threads: Artists Weave Their Worlds, both of which highlight modern and contemporary artworks from the Permanent Collection. Please join curator Casey Braun on Thursday, October 12 for a tour of these new exhibitions and a special reception. Also, on October 5, we welcome back to campus photographer Kevin Bubriski ’75, who will lead a program in Beam Classroom about his new book of photographs documenting the Uyghurs in China.

We look forward to seeing you at the Museum of Art!
