Virtual Lunch & Learn
Are you new to Rainbow Days? Has it been a while since you have connected with us? If so, we hope you will join us via Zoom at 12 p.m. THIS Thursday, Oct. 29, for our upcoming Our Children's Future Lunch and Learn!

At this virtual lunch and learn, you will hear about Rainbow Days' response to COVID-19 over the past months as well as future plans to continue addressing adversity experienced by the children and youth we serve. You will also have the chance to meet volunteers and staff and learn about ways you can make a difference through your involvement with Rainbow Days!
Family Connection Spotlight:
WOGA Mentored Event
This month, Rainbow Days' Family Connection team partnered with the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) Parents Club in Plano to host 21 homeless children living in local motels and shelters for a safe and socially distant day of fun, adventure and gymnastics! Each child in attendance had the opportunity to learn and work one-on-one with a WOGA team member, face their fears and experience what it's like to train as a gymnast.

At WOGA, the children loved having the freedom to learn new things in a positive, safe environment while making unforgettable memories and discovering the excitement and thrill of gymnastics. Amidst the ongoing health crisis, this small mentored event was especially beneficial to the children as it provided them with the physical space to decompress, have fun and spend an afternoon away from the motels or shelters where they live.
Community Connection Spotlight:
Eco Latino Radio
Earlier this month, Leo from Rainbow Days' Community Connection team was invited to be a guest on Eco Latino Radio. During the interview, Leo spoke about drug trends in the community as well as the impact of COVID-19 and addiction on youth and families. Leo was joined by Myrna Méndez, one of the founders of Comadres Unidas, a Dallas-based organization that has worked with Leo and Rainbow Days in schools for more than 12 years.
