John Milliken, honoree Mary H. Hynes, Matt Birenbaum, Nina Janopaul, and Jay Fisette
" Affordable homes matter to our community - they create diverse and dynamic neighborhoods, strengthen our economic competitiveness, and reflect our shared values," said APAH Board Chair John Milliken at our annual Celebrate Home! Benefit on October 5th.

At the event, APAH honored Mary Hughes Hynes, former Arlington County Board Chair, for her years of service to our community.

Together, we raised more than $500,000 to support the resident services programming that promotes financial and family stability to the residents that call an APAH property home.
Take Action: American Legion Redevelopment

In partnership with American Legion Post 139, APAH seeks to redevelop their existing site and build approximately 150 affordable homes and a new 6,000 square foot home for Post 139.

Now's the time to advocate for our community's veterans and affordable housing! Contact the County Board members and let them know you support the project before the Board meeting on November 18th.

Not sure what to say? Start here: urge you to support APAH's
proposed redevelopment of American Legion Post 139. This project will ensure Arlington is more inclusive for all: veterans will have a new, welcoming program space, and Arlington will be closer to meeting its goals outlined in the Affordable Housing Master Plan.

Trunk-or-Treat!

Thank you to First National Presbyterian Church for hosting their annual "Trunk-or- Treat" on October 28th! We had a spooky good time seeing the children's costumes and the decorated cars!

Join APAH's Holiday Gift Drive!

Shopping for Halloween and fall goodies? Please consider adding a toy or a gift card to your cart!

We are  collecting toys and gifts for children ages 0-18. Every gift given helps to ensure that the children living at APAH communities receive a gift during the holidays.
