a film by Sharon Leahy, is a dance for camera film created, performed and shot on site at the Wernette Farm outside of Remus, Michigan, home to the Wheatland Music Festival for the past 40 years.

Wheatscouts takes place in the Gladys Wernette Classroom Building, is for all ages, and free of charge!

Traditional Dance 2015-2016 Season Kick-Off!
Saturday, October 17th will be the first Traditional Dance event of the 2015-2016 season!  

Hayride at 5:00pm with cider and doughnuts, Potluck at 6:00pm (musicians welcome to share their music during the Potluck, so bring those instruments!), followed by Squares Reels & Contras with music by the Blue Water Ramblers from 7-10pm!

Admission is $5, under 18 Free.  No partner or experience necessary - all dances taught.  For more information visit  Traditional Dances on our website.
Open Clogging featuring:
Hawks & Owls
Special guests Hawks & Owls will be providing music for Open Clogging on Sunday, October 18 in the Classroom Building from 1-3pm!

These are informal sessions intended to spread the fun of clogging to all.   Instruction will be provided for those wanting to learn more.  Beginners are encouraged to attend and will be given special attention.  Sharing steps, trying out some routines, developing dancing styles are all encouraged.

Winter Wheat 2016!
Save the Date: 
The 7th Annual Winter Wheat will take place on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at The Intersection in Grand Rapids from 12:30pm - Midnight!
