The Great Give Back 2026

Every year, LaGrange Association Library participates in The Great Give Back, a library initiative in NYS that aims to strengthen our local communities, with libraries heading the charge!

This year LaGrange has two awesome ways to help! First off, as part of the Dutchess County Library Association, we're having a major food drive. Second (and we're really excited about this one!) we're having an adoption event with the ASPCA Recovery & Rehabilitation Center! You can stop by the library on October 17, visit with some of the available canines, and learn all about the ASPCA's amazing work!

We're so proud of some of our young patrons and their families who have completed 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. 1000 Books is a great way for families to connect, and promote literacy and life-long learning at the same time! Want to learn more about 1000 Books? Email Mrs. T at ltedesco@laglib.org.

Upcoming Program Highlights

Registration for LaGrange Library programs can fill up fast, especially our Children's programming. The Tiny Pals Playgroup is a great way for young families to connect with one another, and spend some time visiting and playing in the library without scrambling for a spot! It's a no-pressure way to take advantage of everything LaGrange Library has to offer!

Join Suzanne Turrisi, cohost of a history podcast All my favorite people are dead, as she discusses one of her favorite dead people - the infamous Lizzie Borden!
