A Word from Supervisor Flaherty | | |
Webster Neighbor:
Fall is a time for change. We see the weather getting cooler and the leaves on the trees around us changing color. It can also be a great time of reflection. As I enter my final quarter as Town Supervisor this fall, I am reflecting upon the past several years that I have been lucky enough to serve the Town of Webster.
Over the past (almost) six years, I have had the pleasure of being a part of many projects and initiatives that have continued progress for the Town of Webster. These initiatives include, but are not limited to, Sandbar Park, Sewer upgrades, the West Webster Hamlet, the Comprehensive Plan Update, and preparation for the 2027 Townwide Revaluation.
Upon reflection, it's clear that the role of Town government affects the lives of all residents in one way or another. Actions made at the local level are often deeply personal to community members. As Town Supervisor, this fact is not lost on me, and it has been important to me to incorporate empathy into pragmatic decision-making.
As I enter my last three months as Town Supervisor, I encourage residents to continue being engaged in their local government. While we may not always agree on what the right path forward is, engagement and conversations about our future help our Town reach its full potential.
As always, please feel free to contact me by email or by calling 585-872-7068.
Sincerely,
Tom Flaherty, Webster Town Supervisor
