Message from our CEO
Monday, October 7 is World Habitat Day, an annual awareness day set aside to recognize the basic right of everyone to adequate shelter. We are proud to play a part in making affordable homeownership a part of the solution in our communities. We invite you to join us and celebrate at our administrative office at 2-40 Pacific Court for a community BBQ from noon to 2pm as we mark this occasion together. Thank you to all of our supporters, sponsors, judges and contestants who helped to make Finch Auto Group Party for Humanity: Classic Rock Edition such a success. Jude Coyle won the Grand Prize, while Randy Bryte, Patrice Robinson and Calvin Jasper Kelly were also selected as runners-up by our celebrity panel of judges. The audience agreed with the judges and pronounced Jude Coyle to be the recipient of the People's Choice Award, thanks to the generous support of Lewkowitz Financial who made this possible for the first time. Funds raised by this event will support the building of a home for Lindsie on Forbes Street. We invite you to join us at a Key Ceremony for Lindsie's Family and Jennifer's Family ( Canada Life Build) on October 23 at 11am. We will also celebrate breaking ground for the final two homes in this Manor Park community, future homes to Arber & Lumturi's family and Karin's family.
Our 6 ReStores continue to work hard raising funds for our organization and we would like to thank all of the communities in which they operate. Your support and partonage are very much appreciated and by shopping, donating and volunteering at the ReStore you make it possible for Habitat Heartland to do our part in making affordable homeownership possible.
Welcome home, Kelly!
Kelly and her family are new Habitat homeowners in London. They have completed all of the steps involved in our homeownership program and we celebrate with them on World Habitat Day. Please join us in wishing them a bright and prosperous future in their new home!
