World Mental Health Day

Whilst the pandemic has and continues to, take its toll on our mental health, the ability to reconnect through World Mental Health Day 2022 will provide us with an opportunity to re-kindle our efforts to protect and improve mental health.

With growing social and economic inequalities, protracted conflicts, violence and public health emergencies affecting our populations threatening progress towards improved well-being; we must deepen the value and commitment we give to mental health as individuals, communities and governments and match that value with more commitment and engagement.

Stigma and discrimination continue to be a barrier to social inclusion.

We can all play our part in increasing awareness about which preventive mental health interventions work and World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to do that collectively. Let us envision a world in which mental health is valued, promoted and protected.

HAPPY WORLD SAVINGS DAY

World Savings Day or World Thrift Day was established to inform people all around the world about the idea of saving their money in a bank rather than keeping it under their mattresses.

As a Cooperative Society, we take pride in helping and guiding our members about the importance of Savings.

Lenny Kumar, Humming Bird Gold Medal winner

We wish to extend hearty congratulations to one of the valued members of the Credit Union Mr. Lenny Kumar, who recently earned a Hummingbird Medal in the sphere of Culture.

A devoted member of PSCU's San Fernando branch for six years, Mr. Kumar is also an educator who runs a Tassa School with a commitment to preserving and protecting the roots and original style of the art form of Tassa Drumming.

As a musician, he has been credited for composing the "Chutney", “Punjabi”, “Tassamba"--also known as "George of the Jungle rhythm"--and "Bhangra" hands for Tassa and has created many more.

We at PSCU Credit Union are proud of his many achievements and his dedication to promoting the culture within and beyond the shores of Trinidad and Tobago.

Jingle your way into Christmas with PSCU!

As we gear up for the holiday season, we're giving back: with our 100 Ways of PSCU Christmas Jingle Competition!

Craft your own jingle or monologue promoting the products and services of PSCU Credit Union and you can win a mini appliance/voucher valued at $250!

Member submissions with the most likes on our social media platforms will be declared the winner! *One winner will be announced each week*

Here's how to enter:

Members are required to email their video presentations to [email protected] and will be posted on our social media platforms weekly
The jingle should not be longer than 1 (one) minute
Only one entry is allowed per member

To be qualified for the giveaway, your jingle should be an original production:

i. No copyright infringement to be intended in any way

ii. Copying of any existing melody, composition, lyrics, rhythm, and beat is strictly prohibited

You can WIN with us when you help grow our PSCU family!

Members who encourage their friends and family to become a member of PSCU Credit Union Co-operative Society Ltd. will be eligible for a $200 PSCU Gift Certificate!

Here's how it works:

Each member that refers and brings in new members will be added to our database, along with a list of people they referred that joined
Members with the highest number of referrals will qualify for our monthly prize
Reference to be included on the membership form

Corporate Social Responsibility - School Donations

Following the theme of Credit Union Month, "Empowering Our Financial Future,"

PSCU visited the Primary Schools to fulfil our Corporate Social Responsibility by donating stationery and toiletries items to

St Paul's Boys Anglican School, St, John's Anglican School, and Arima Boys RC School.

We thank the Principals and the teachers of the Schools.
