SugarFest is Here!

It’s time for SugarFest, a special celebration of the sugarcane harvest, on October 6th! SugarFest was voted one of the Top 20 events in the Southeast. It includes living history demonstrations, food and mule-driven grinding, music, a cake walk and other activities related to Sugar production as it was years ago!

Merry Not Scary!


Join us for Merry Not Scary Halloween event on Friday, October 18th from 6-8pm!

The West Baton Rouge Museum and West Baton Rouge Library invite the whole family to an event that brings tricks, vintage games, crafts, and entertainment to the museum grounds. Food will be available for purchase from the Bean Dip Factory. Halloween costumes are welcome. Don't forget your treat bag!

Yoga Workshop


The West Baton Rouge Museum is hosting a once-a-month Yoga workshop on the last Tuesday of each month at 6pm. Get active and join in on October 29th!


Classes will be led by 26-year-veteran instructor, Elena Moreno-Keegan. She has a life-long passion for living well and helping others live well.

Mark your calendars for Veterans on Parade on November 10th! Citizens, businesses, and organizations pay tribute to all servicemen and women for their dedication to this nation. Veterans can participate on the floats free of charge. Come join the crowds and show your support for these brave men and women.
