Off-Premise Retailers Expecting Robust Holiday Sales

Nearly half of off-premise retailers predict significantly higher beverage alcohol sales this holiday season, according to a retailer survey from Drizly. 63% of respondents said they expect sales to at least match a typical fourth quarter, while 44% predict sales will be higher than previous years. Other key findings from the survey include insight from retailers on which categories will get more shelf space in 2021. Hint, Tequila is one of them.

“These retailers have a front row seat to all the happenings in the beverage alcohol industry and have an invaluable pulse on its future,” says Drizly CEO Cory Rellas. “Their experiences this year and expectations for 2021 form the basis of this annual retailer report, and are a meaningful barometer for what’s to come.”
