Mark Twain Becomes a Jersey Boy:
His Friendship with Thomas Nast
Monday, June 10, 6:30 p.m.
Presented by John Pascal
Thomas Nast’s extraordinary contributions to literary illustrations and American political history are certainly recognized. But what has not been comprehensively brought to light is his deep friendship with Mark Twain. This presentation gives new links between Twain and Nast for a unique and fuller understanding of the very personal and professional friendship of these public giants as well as Twain’ lecturing presence in the Garden State.
